Do you long to experience freedom in Christ, but feel controlled by anxiety or depression?
You’re a Christian looking for help. You’d like a therapist who who shares your faith and speaks your spiritual language. Someone who respects your values and helps you explore Christian principles that relate to your struggle…
That’s my cue to enter. I gained these skills when I earned a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. I help Christians tackle anxiety, depression, and relationship problems by uniting the strengths of their faith with the tools of psychology.
Christians may have one faith, but different life experiences. Some of us have been wounded by Christian communities in which we sought safety and help. Perhaps spiritual leaders ignored our needs because they were too busy exerting their authority. Maybe excessive legalism robbed us of promised rest and placed us on a treadmill of performance. Or, perhaps we were unintentionally hurt by healthy leaders in a healthy Christian community. Either way we were wounded, and a holistic Christian Counseling approach could offer a doorway of hopeful change.
From six years of working as discipleship counselor in a Christian ministry, I learned that human problems are often complicated. And many times, effective solutions are unique: what works to calm one Christian’s anxiety may aggravate another’s; an approach that feels like freedom to one Christian may feel like chains to another.
You’re a unique child of God, and you don’t need change that comes from a formula. If you’re looking for Christian Counseling that recognizes the uniqueness of each individual or couple, you’re in the right place. And I’m glad you’re here.
Since I work with Christians and non-Christians, please let me know if you want your faith front and center in the counseling process. I’d love to help you find the change you need.
